The rest of the day was spent exploring several neighborhoods close to my b&b. I needed to walk so I would not fall asleep.
I will be sharing a lot of photos. I hope it does not get to be too many. My blog will also be a journal of my trip so I am including a lot of photos.
*research mission should you choose to accept it; what is Fado? ....stay tuned...
Thank you for allowing me to share my travel journey with you. Traveling alone has advantages but one distinct disadvantage is not having anyone to share the adventures.
I'm pretty impressed (and proud) of you and your travels! These pictures are just beautiful! I see you with a hood. Is it cool there? Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteFado is a music genre associated with Portugal, which makes perfect sense since you're in Lisbon!!! Simple songs that follow a structure and usually spontaneous in nature!! There, I've done my homework for the day!!! I have my world clock and weather report set to alert me of the weather you're experiencing, etc. So while you may be physically traveling alone, know that there are many virtual travelers on your journey!!! Keep the photos coming and enjoy your "new" surroundings!
ReplyDeleteOh and I got my answer to what Fado is from one of my staff members who is married to a woman from Portugal!!! He called her when I asked about it and she gave me a vocal example! Enjoy!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd one more then I'll quite, but I'm doing my cardioglide tonight watching Rick Steves tour of Lisbon!!!
ReplyDeleteI can see why you are in love. These photos are fabulous.
ReplyDeleteWhat a trip it is for all of us to follow along.
Kudos on finding your way on mass transportation.
Love all the cool quotes, too!
