Arizona Tracks - Quad Cities Area (Prescott, Prescott Valley, Chino Valley and Dewey-Humboldt

Prescott Valley, my new community, is part of the Quad Cities area in central Yavapai County in Arizona. Prescott, Prescott Valley, Chino Valley and Dewey-Humboldt are referred to as the Quad Cities. History of the area includes Native Americans, mining, ranches, Military posts and much more. While Prescott was founded in the mid 1800s Prescott Valley was founded in 1966.

Seven months is not a long time to call a place home. During my seven months in Prescott Valley I have explored a bit of the area. Included in this post are photos from hiking trails, day trips and views from everyday life.
Science fiction fans might be interested in knowing that Alan Dean Foster resides in Prescott. He is the author of some popular series.

A few comments about the photos that will tell the story of my exploration over the last seven months. Photography has always been an enjoyable hobby for me. A great way to document family events, travel and life's milestones. Retirement has afforded me more time and energy to devote to photography. The extremely beautiful environment of my new community has also influenced my efforts to capture the glorious views.

Pour yourself your favorite beverage and enjoy photos from a few places in the Quad Cities.
With or without watermarks photos are intended for viewing online.

Prescott is known as Arizona's Official Christmas City and "Everybody's Home Town". The courthouse square fulfills both of these nicknames with outstanding charm.

Hiking is one of my retirement activities that I enjoy frequently. The Quad Cities has an abundance of trails. Below are a few shots from some of my hikes.

Local businesses are fun to visit and are very welcoming. My guests and I especially enjoy visits to local wineries, breweries, distilleries and local meadery. Well, that list suggests a theme doesn't it?

Here's to my first seven months in my new community. I have just begun to explore all that it has to offer.
