Travel and our reasons for taking journeys are as varied as the places we go. This journey took me to New York City! The main reasons were all because of a TV show, texting and a belated retirement trip with a friend I met about 30 years ago. My friend and I were watching the Tony Awards and sharing our thoughts via text. By the end of the show we decided to celebrate retirement with a trip to NYC. The plans were in motion. We planned on seeing shows and a few tourist attractions. During our four day visit we were also fortunate to visit with nieces and nephew of my friend and my son’s childhood friend. Local experts are priceless. Also priceless is having an adventure with a good friend.
