Road trips are planned for site seeing, museum visits, family reunions and the list goes on. This road trip was planned to attend my niece’s wedding first and foremost. Of course I looked forward to seeing family and friends while in Wisconsin. Summer is time for festivals in this part of the country and they certainly have an endless number of focuses for these gatherings. Cheese Derby? Church Picnics? Fish Boils? Threshing Bee? Corn Feed? The opportunity for fun is endless.
Mile of Music in Appleton, Wisconsin deserves a designated category. Original music, 4 days, 900 sets, 200 groups and a ton of fun!

One day I happened upon a cheese factory and store. They offered lunch and it was delicious - look at those prices!
Family gatherings are always enjoyable and treasured. Wait until you see the breakfast table and view when a gracious relative hosted!
The week before the wedding it was all hands on deck! My niece lives in western Wisconsin near the town of Hudson. I stayed at an artist studio Airbnb - very cool space. I encourage everyone to explore Airbnb and similar properties instead of hotels. I’ll post a few wedding prep photos without giving too many details about the big day.
I made a quick tourist trip to Stillwater, Minnesota on the St. Croix River. Oldest town in Minnesota and considered the state’s birthplace.
The next time I post you’ll see wedding photos and I’ll explain the bride’s middle name.
