I am going to declare I am an architect lover. Ancient, pre-war, post-war, Victorian, craftsman, mid-century, modern-I Love it all. As I entered Wisconsin through the “drift-less” southwestern corner I drove the Spring Green, Wisconsin. Frank Loyd Wright’s family settled here after his mother immigrated from Whales. A school and home are part of Taliesin. An estate designed by Frank Loyd Wright that is open to tours by reservation only. The origin of everything from the name to design to construction is fascinating. The two and a half hour led by Mickie was excellent! I wish I could add more details about the photographs but the new blog process is very cumbersome. I have annotated a few photos. Some photos are from the school but most are photos of the home. Sit back and enjoy a photographic tour of this gorgeous estate.
