The Promise of Praha - Train, Old Town, Park and Beer Garden

Praha, Prague a city with several names but they all capture the nature of this alluring city. History that started over one thousand years ago. As you view my photos I think you will discover that history seems to pour out of each building. The architecture is unbelievable and I often wondered how it was built so long ago.

My Prague entries will be in several posts. Pour yourself a refreshment and travel through Prague with me.

Another interesting website links to morning radio shows all over the world. I know some of you will be interested in this radio site too.

There were many musicians playing in the streets and at a festival. Here are two links to brief clips I recorded while enjoying the music.

In this set of photos you will see shots from the train trip and shots from around Old Town. You will also join me on a walk to a beer garden my first evening in Prague. I used airbnb to find lodging for my Europe trip. The view from my bedroom window in Prague was unbelievable!

Along the tracks I noticed many small gardens with garden huts. I wonder if people have a garden plot along the track. Some of the garden huts were very elaborate.

The view from my bedroom window!
My hosts for the weekend. Monika and Varoslav. Great young couple.

A street performer was blowing huge bubbles in Old Town Square. Kind of a unique shot.

Choir from Hersey High School in the USA was rehearsing for their concert. What an experience they must have had.

A huge metronome at the top of the hill on the way to the park and beer garden.
