The Promise of Praha - Views from the Street

This post about Prague includes some favorite places I found through the suggestions of my hosts. It is difficult to capture a city as complicated as Prague in a few photos but I hope I have given you a feel for Praha.

Lokal is a favorite beer hall and restaurant of my hosts. It has a unique way of "pulling" beer from a unique beer storage system. Whatever they are doing it is working! The best dark beer I have ever tasted!

Fried cheese is their specialty. Served with potato salad and of course a beer!

On my list for my next trip to Prague!

A large mall in the middle of the city.

Spotted this scene on Father's Day and thought it was sweet.

Apparently Prague is a popular location for bachelor parties. This was on the Charles Bridge. Wonder what Charles IV would think about this.

Street food called Trdlo. Sweet dough wound around a large rod then fried and sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar. The price was 60 crown which I believe is about three dollars.

Many modes of transportation used in the tourist areas.

Prague train station-time to return to Berlin. It was an amazing weekend!

How neat that your hosts own and operate that restaurant--cool, modern space.
